FINAL NOTICE
This is a final notice of deprecation of email and password use for Basic Authentication to the Ordoro API.
Deprecation Dates:
The final date for this usage will be September 30th. As of October 1st, any requests with Basic Authentication using an Ordoro application login email and password to the Ordoro API will fail.
Who is this for?
This information has previously been sent as an email to all known Ordoro API email and password users. If you think your integrations or scripts may be using an email and password combination for Basic Authentication check your emails for the prior notices, which include the emails in question.
If you already use API Keys: Client ID and Client Secret in requests to the Ordoro API, you can disregard this notice.
What action is required?
To maintain uninterrupted Ordoro API use, please add an API Key to your account. If your plan has access to API Keys, you will find this setting under Account Settings→General→API Keys. To use your API Key for Basic Authentication in your scripts/integration/requests, replace email with Client ID and password with Client Secret. Check out this article on How to create an API key Ordoro - How to create an API key for a custom integration for more detailed information.
If you find you don’t have access to API Keys, please contact Ordoro Support about your plan.
Additional Information
The Ordoro API does not support Basic Authentication using the same email and password as your login, you must update to using API Keys. This has nothing to do with logging into Ordoro directly, nor does it relate to official sales channel, marketplace, or carrier connections within the Ordoro app.
